Privacy Policy

What this site keeps, what the app sends when it activates, and how to have it deleted. No analytics, no advertising trackers, and one cookie that exists to keep you signed in.

The short version

AI Cast Co-host runs on your computer. Your voice, your conversations, your show history and your TikTok chat are processed on your PC and never reach this website. This site knows who bought a licence, which computers it is activated on, and - if you ask for it - that you want release-note emails. That is all.

Who we are

This site and the AI Cast Co-host licence are provided by [legal entity], the data controller for the information described here. Write to support at aicastcohost dot com about anything on this page.

What the website collects

When you buy: your name and email address, and the amount, currency and Stripe payment reference. Card details go to Stripe and never touch this site. We use this to issue and email your licence key, create your account, and handle refunds.
Your account: name, email, a password hash, and two-factor settings if you turn them on.
The newsletter: only if you sign up - your email, which form you used, the exact consent wording you saw, and the time, IP address and browser of the signup and of the confirmation click. That record is how we can show you agreed.
Support messages: what you write in the contact form, with your name and email, so we can reply.
Server logs: IP address, time and the page requested, kept briefly to keep the site running and secure.

What the app sends

The desktop app talks to our activation service (activate.aicastcohost.com) when you activate, when you sign a computer out, and occasionally in the background to renew its activation. Each time it sends:

your licence key;
a random device ID created when the app was installed - not a hardware fingerprint, and it changes if you reinstall;
the computer's name, so you can tell your machines apart on Your licences;
the app version.

Nothing else - no conversations, no audio, no show history, no usage data. After a computer is activated, the app works offline.

If you choose a Claude or ChatGPT subscription as the co-host's brain, the app talks to that provider through their own command-line tool, under their privacy policy, exactly as if you had used it yourself. The TikTok chat feed is read directly from TikTok by the app. Neither passes through this website.

Cookies

One session cookie keeps you signed in, and one XSRF-TOKEN cookie protects forms from being submitted by other sites. Both are strictly necessary, so there is no cookie banner. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies.

Stripe processes payments.
Our email provider (Postmark) delivers the licence email, password resets and, if you subscribed, the newsletter.
Our hosting provider runs the servers this site and the activation service live on.

We do not sell, rent or share your information for anybody else's marketing.

How long it is kept

Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your account and licence: until you ask us to delete them. Deleting the account deactivates the licence.
Activation records: until the computer is signed out, or the licence is deleted.
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe - every email has a one-click link. We keep the consent history afterwards so we can show the unsubscribe was honoured.
Support messages: as long as needed to help you, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted - write to support at aicastcohost dot com . We reply within 30 days. Where the law gives you further rights (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you have those too, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything that affects what the app sends will be in the release notes before the version that does it ships.
